I feel that I'm growing up, but not entirely excited about it. I miss the old times when things were more objective, and alliances were made on pure trust and friendship. Denver is awesome but it doesn't quite feel like home. Is this what getting older is about?
I found a great job here with a marketing company where I'm getting tons of experience, however I would trade it all to be back in 2003. I remember the excitement of working out the lease agreement with Debbie and Nora for the Muriel Ct house. Everyday in Cincinnati was an adventure and a struggle but it made sense. I want a little piece of that old feeling back......

So it was "evil-mom"'s birthday today. I usually don't ever call and talk to her but I thought I would be nice because she has been going through a hard time and break the cycle for a day. She always tries to pull the "I love you" line, but it's completely fake so I don't respond back.

After I didn't respond she tried to lay down a guilt trip on me so I basically told her that it is her fault that I'm barely capable of showing emotion to other people (which believe me, has ruined more than one romantic relationship). So she proceeded to apologize to me for my "rocky childhood, and the way she treated me." Oh shit, you're actually taking responsibility? Wait, wait, then came the follow up..

..."but you know it's your dad's fault because he didn't make you follow the same rules as the other kids." What a bunch of bullshit, passing the blame. He was only trying to fucking protect me from her crazy ass. How was I treated better than anyone else, I don't remember any of my siblings being thrown out of the house multiple times when they were 8-9 years old. I don't remember my siblings being segregated, smacked in the face, psychologically abused, and had money embezzled from them(as I have recently discovered, up around $30K)

I'm done, I will never call this person, inquire about them, or lose sleep over them again.

It's been like a year since I've been to livejournal. Strange how something you did on a weekly basis can stop so long without remembering when you stopped in the first place.

Another era is coming to an end. Good friends are slowly filtering away, and dynamics with the ones remaining are completely changing. I've lived with Mike since 2003, sadly he will not be joining us in Denver. I feel like the people who I hang out with, and don't hang out with anymore, has completely changed my perspectives on all matters.

This new biking hobby may be a mark off of my to-do list but I think it is also a way to move on by starting something new. There has to be a transition right? The future seems less exciting than it once did. I literally don't know what to do with myself anymore. Nothing is appealing.

Dating was my last refuge of finding territory that was new and unpredictable though every girl that I have dated in the last couple years are all exactly the same. Well, besides having their own forms of psychosis. The last one didn't even make an effort to break-up. She simply stopped talking to me for two weeks and then sent a text saying "What are you doin?". Ummmm...did I miss something here?

The future is bleak, what the fuck can I do? Maybe things will improve when we make it to Denver,

&nbsp At work we got a new guy, so our team of 3 increased to 4. The strange thing is that our productivity has decreased by about half. My boss, "Mike", has been promoted to the network team and has stopped taking jobs so that his replacement can dive right in. His replacement doesn't do anything but download torrents, read the news, and for hours at a time sits in Mike's cubicle waiting to talk even though he is ignored. Seriously, Mike will be on the phone with someone for half an hour, the guy will just sit and wait until he's done. The new guy is promising but very green. I only work about 3 days a week.
&nbsp I wonder how long it will take for someone to notice that nobody is really getting anything done.

The temperature is supposed to get up to 50degrees in the next week. I've been taking Vitamin D to help alleviate symptoms of depression. I think its working, then again what if it is just a placebo effect, and if so does it really matter?

I like commas, they're very comforting. I always get penalized for using them too often in papers. That's the way I talk, with pauses, and I like to write the way I talk. Don't you think messages are lost in the forest of good grammar? Humans spend a large amount of time and energy learning and applying tones and inflections to communicate and these things should be factored into writing.

&nbsp Yesterday was a good day. In the morning I took my driving test and finally passed ($23). I am now a licensed driver, which is a little bizzare. After I got out of Calculus I went downtown and registered my car and got license plates ($35). I went home and started up the Saab and everything seems to be in working order although some short trips will be needed to confirm. I was afraid of high insurance prices but since my car is so old and only has a 4-cylinder it should only cost about $50 a month...phew.

&nbsp Later that night I went to check out the Regina Spektor show at Bogart's which had been sold out a few weeks prior. I found a scalper to buy a ticket from where I talked him down from $60 to $35, which still kind of sucked. Then again there was some other sucker with no bargaining skills who was pissed because I could get them at that price, so I felt a little better.

The concert was amazing. You can call metro or whatever else you like, but Regina Spektor has an awesome voice and stage presence. But anyways, I tested the "Law/Theory of Averages" on this girl standing near me who looked dead on like the Ravine Street Girl (yeah, the friends of Muriel Ct. know who I'm talking about). Long story short, I made out with this random girl, but she had to leave the concert cause her friend was about to hurl.

&nbsp The day in conclusion:Obtained driver's license, obtained license plates, cheap insurance, Regina Spektor in concert, made out with random hot-chick.

So while I'm waiting for the shower....

Last Night: &nbsp&nbsp As Alex would say was "bizzaro world". The night started with Zeb and I at the bar where Dave, Andrew and Mike would later join. After breaking (accidentally) our beer bottles and passing around a black widow we decided it was time to leave
&nbsp&nbsp We went to this guy Josh's house and did some more drinking, dave, britney, and mike hitting the beer bong. I'm talking to this crazy chick when Mike explains that she is the same 33 year old girl who he went to the Gypsy Hut with one night. She started a fight with other girls at the bar, and after refusing to let mike drive crashed her car, tearing the front wheels off and subsequently getting arrested.
&nbsp&nbsp Anyways we all leave Josh's and go to Baba Budan's for Gin and Tonics. Someone re-introduced me to the crazy 33 year old chick. We shook hands, and I don't why, but I leaned over and just started making out with her. At some point later Mike disappeared and Zeb went back to his frat house and ran into a wall, dusted himself off, and started a game of beer pong until he blacked out.
&nbsp&nbsp Dave, Britney, Andrew, Celeste, Josh, and I all went to this dance party/club at Clique. Dave ended up making out with everyone in the place, I'm quite impressed. Several times during the night I saw Celeste grinding and making out with other girls. This incredibly beautiful brunette girl came up and started dancing with me (her friend later telling me that this girl was in love with me). Celeste came up and said something so I thought she was pissed that I was dancing with another girl, but I'm not sure. I stopped dancing with the girl because I wanted to hook up with Celeste (come on, a 30 year old bisexual chick. who wouldn't) but then that ended up going nowhere. While we were leaving the bar there were cops everywhere. They were raiding the place because the were open past last call or something.
&nbsp&nbsp When we got back to Clifton the girl kissed me and was like "Alright, see you later." *shrug* Weird. Same thing with Dave, all the people he made out with did the same thing to him when the bar was closing.
So we had all these opportunities but went back to Dave's girl/boy-less....
And I fell for it, well...maybe.

I thought that it was possible to buy a laptop due to the recent media coverage of the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project. After I paid for one I started doing a little research on the company. There is a lot of suspicion going around about Medison's legitimacy. I did a whois on medison.se and then medisoncelebrity.com and found some interesting things. First of all medison.se (flagship site) has not admin or tech contact. However medisoncelebrity has the CEO listed for both contacts....and guess what? He has a hotmail account. No CEO has a friggin Hotmail account.

So I called the company I purchased the laptop from and cancelled the order. The operator told me that they have had several calls, but assured me of the legitimacy of Medison. PPFffff..

So it's not really a leak. It is a fan novel of the last harry potter book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The book is pretty friggin good though.

Download the fan novel

So things are pretty messed up at work. The hardware guy here was supposed to "supervise" this project of getting laptops imaged and delivered to new employees. The day they were supposed to come in he took off of work. Now he's pissed off because he doesn't know anything about them, if their imaged, shipped out, etc. and he's trying to place that blame on me? The stupidest thing was that everything went smoothly, except for the shipment arriving a day late.
You know what hardware-guy, spare me the lecture. Don't use other people as scape goats for your own failings as an employee.

Well it has been an exciting weekend. It started off Friday with Kimi's "going out of town" party at the Hofbrauhaus. I have never seen so many look alikes in my life. Two out of three guys were wearing collared polo shirts with horizontal stripes. The only difference amongst them was the color of the stripes. Eeew.

Later Rudie and I went to Mac's for a quick drink (it was the eve of his birthday). I left after a few minutes while Rudie was cashing in on birthday shots. I woke to the phone ringing Saturday morning, however the call wouldn't connect through. Later I would find out that a friend of mine was being held in jail downtown. I conjured up $620 and Dave and I had to go and bail them out.

After that whole ordeal Dave, Lizzy, Zeb, and I all went to Athens to celebrate Hannah's 21st birthday. It had been a long while since I've been there, it was almost like walking into a time warp. It was great to hang out with Hannah, Lizzy, Dave, and Andrew all at once, getting people together seems to become harder by the day.

*Sigh* Now it is time to slow down and go back to work. I'm really tired of the same old-same old and feel like we are all due for a new adventure in a new place. Hopefully within about a year in a half Rudie, Dave, and I will be ready to leave for somewhere together. Like Dave was saying, I don't have the heart to start over with new people, I enjoy the ones that I already know.

Happy Birthday Mike and Hannah!
